Lauren earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) from the Queensland University of Technology and has worked across a diverse range of fields including structural, construction and project engineering. Her engineering career has overlapped with her military career during which time she served as an Officer in the Royal Australian Engineer Corps working in disaster relief, assistance to the civil community projects and implementing training for trade apprentices to name a few highlights. Lauren subsequently earned a Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Learning from the University of Southern Queensland where she focused her studies on supporting the learning of difficult maths concepts and engaging and supporting adolescents to achieve their maths goals. She has further tertiary studies in advanced mathematics. Lauren has worked in QLD High Schools teaching all levels of maths and engineering. For the last five years Lauren has worked exclusively in private maths tutoring making maths relevant and meaningful to teens and supporting them to rapidly improve their understanding, skills and grades.
