Group tutoring sessions are tailored specifically to align with the topics students are learning in class and give them the most clear and concise explanations and examples for even the most challenging topics. These sessions ensure students are not left behind in class and are provided with extra support or extension depending on what each individual needs. Sessions are designed to give students all the assistance, guidance and resources they need to meet their learning goals, build confidence, maximise grades and ATAR score. Sessions are structured in collaboration with students to ensure they are getting the exact help they need, exactly when they need it!

Group Tutoring with Lauren at Archer Maths

  • Who is group tutoring for?

Group tutoring is designed specifically for students committed to achieving their maximum potential in Senior Maths. While each session is completely customised, the typical session is aimed at students currently struggling or achieving average grades. Students currently achieving top grades and looking to continue achieving in the highest percentiles would be better suited to one-on-one sessions. Performing well in maths takes effort, so for students willing to put in the work, tutoring can make sure that effort is directed in the right areas and students can effectively and efficiently maximise their marks and ATAR. My sessions ensure students don't just study hard, but study smart.

  • How does group tutoring work?

Once booked in for group tutoring students receive a weekly, one hour online or face-to-face session where we will work together on topics aligned with the in-class curriculum. I give the clearest, most concise explanations for each topic and provide additional exam-style questions for students to practice and consolidate knowledge. We will focus on building strong understanding and work together to ensure that knowledge translates into the marks students want to see on their assessments. Students enrolled for group tutoring will also receive free access to all revision workshops throughout the year and an ever growing bank of exam style questions carefully designed to prepare students for success in the final exam.

  • How is this different to other tutoring services?

I am an expert senior maths educator and teacher with over a decade experience working in a range of educational settings. Students wont receive generic or repetitive worksheets or topic explanations. Every session is customised and designed to optimise students' performance. I never take on more students than I can personally know and have a maximum of 5 students in each group. I use a results based, collaborative approach to each session. Students learn not only the skills required to achieve success in senior maths, but the techniques required to successfully and independently study any subject. Students will learn life long skills that translate directly into improved performance.
